The “NBA Head to Head Contest” (“The Contest”) is a contest which allows participants to enter for a chance to win one of the offered prizes, pursuant to these official rules (the “Official Rules”), which are available online at https://nbaheadtohead.com. The sponsor of this contest is NBA Properties, Inc. (the “Sponsor”) and can be contacted here: fanrelations@nba.com, 16 York Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5J 0E6. By taking part in this Contest you accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that all decisions of NBA Entities (as defined below) are final and binding. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. These Official Rules apply only to this Contest and not to any other promotions, contests, or sweepstakes by NBA Entities.
The Contest begins on December 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM ET and ends on April 13, 2025 at 11:59:59 PM ET (the “Contest Period”). All dates are subject to change dependent upon the NBA schedule. The Contest is only open to legal residents of Canada, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry (each, an “Entrant”). Employees, officers and directors, and the household and immediate family members and/or those with whom such employees, officers and directors are domiciled, of NBA Properties, Inc., the National Basketball Association (the “NBA”), NBA member teams, NBA Media Ventures, LLC, prize suppliers, and advertising/promotion agencies and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates (collectively, “NBA Entities”) are not eligible to enter or win. For the purpose of these Official Rules, “household members” means those people who share the same residence and/or mailing address at least three months per year with one or more NBA Entities and “immediate family members” means any parent, spouse, sibling or child and their respective spouses. Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of the winner.
To participate, during the Contest Period visit nbaheadtohead.com (the “Website”) and click on the banners, buttons and/or links to access the Game registration page. If you are already a registered Game member, you must login to the Game Play page using your previously designated email and password to participate in the Game. If you are not a registered member of the Game, you must register before participating in this Game. Registration is free. To register, complete and submit the Game Registration form according to the instructions provided. As part of the registration process, you will be asked if you wish to receive NBA promotional emails. Consenting to receive NBA promotional emails is optional and is not required for sign up or participation in this Game, and will not impact your chances of winning. Upon completion of the registration process, you may link to the Game Play page using your newly designated or chosen username and password to participate in the Game. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all contact information is up-to-date and accurate at all times during the Contest Period.
Limit one (1) Game User Registration form submission per person and per email address for the duration of the Contest Period. Additional registration forms received from any such person or email address after the first registration form received from that person or email address will be void. The use of script, macro or any other device to automate or subvert the registration process is prohibited and all such registrations will be void. Registration form submissions will be accepted throughout the Contest Period (up to one million (1,000,000) registrations), in accordance with the terms of these Official Rules.
Scoring
Users receive 1 win for every correct matchup chosen, where the player they selected ended up with more points in the game than the other player they were head to head against.
If players in a matchup both score the same number of points in that matchup, the winner of that head to head matchup will be the player on the team that wins the game. For example, a head to head matchup:
Users are ranked in order of total wins throughout the season long contest period
Users are also ranked in order of longest win streak during each streak period
A “streak’ is defined by the correct number of guesses (wins) in a row, based on the order of the matchups being displayed on the website from top to bottom.
There are three streak periods:
Game Cancellations or Player Non-Participation:
If an entire game where a matchup is taking place is cancelled or rescheduled for ANY reason, it will be removed from the Head to Head results.
If a player in any of the matchups does not play in the game, they will be automatically subbed out for another player on their team. The player automatically subbed in will be the player on the same team with the next lower PPG (points per game average) on the same team, however the substitution is at the sole discretion of the NBA.
For example, L.A. Lakers PPG averages (for example only):
If a player plays in the game for ANY length of time, but does not complete the game for ANY reason, they will NOT be subbed out for a replacement. It is possible this player finished with 0 points, but if they dress and play for the game, they will be used in the matchup.

Prize winners and their traveling companion are responsible for: any and all costs, expenses and taxes not expressly described herein including, without limitation, applicable ground transportation, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, personal expenses of any nature for overnight layovers, meals and beverages, service charges, in-flight meals and entertainment; costs incurred to and from the departure point as the prize originate and terminate there, obtaining sufficient personal travel insurance prior to departure, if desired; obtaining and carrying all necessary travel documentation, such as passports and visas and complying with entry, health, customs and immigrations regulations and requirements. Any Entrant who plays NBA Head to Head during the 2024-25 season for eight (8) weeks will win:
Code will be emailed to the email address the user registered or signed up with during registration. . Code will be emailed within one week following the week where the eighth (8th) week was participated in. There are 18 total weeks available to be played during the Contest period. A week is counted as a ‘played’ week if the Entrants makes one (1) or more player selections during the week.
Entrants can only win this Loyalty prize once.
Perfection Prize:
Any entrant who correctly guesses all five (5) matchups in a given week on five (5) separate weeks for the duration of the contest will win:
Code will be emailed to the email address the user registered or signed up with during registration. Code will be emailed within one week following the week where the fourth (4th) Perfect Week was played. Entrants must correctly choose all available matchups during the week in order to qualify as a perfect week. If an Entrant does not choose all available matchups (due to the matchup already being played or any other reason), then that week will NOT qualify as a perfect week. If a matchup is canceled or postponed (due to NBA game cancelation or other other reason), then that game will NOT be included in counting a perfect week - for example, if one (1) matchup in a given week is canceled, then an entrant will only need to guess four (4) of the matchups correctly in order to count as a perfect week.
Entrants can only win this Perfection Prize once.
Winners will be notified by an employee or representative of the NBA via email using the email provided during the sign up process.
If a potential winner cannot be reached OR in the event a potential winner does not accept the prize or fails to comply with these rules and requirements within two (2) business days of being contacted by email or phone, the Prize will be forfeited. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given and the NBA Entities will have sole discretion to select another potential winner.
Before being declared a Prize winner, the selected entrant will be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question and will also be required to sign, and in the event of a minor, have his/her parent or legal guardian sign on his/her behalf, a Declaration and Release Form (the “Release Form”) stating that he/she has read, understood and complied with these Official Rules (including the eligibility requirements); grants all consents required as contemplated in these Official Rules; authorizes NBA Entities and their designees and assigns to use the winner’s name, voice, city/province of residence, photos, video or film clips, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation (financial or otherwise), permission or notification; and releases the Releasees and the supplier and/or provider of prizes from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. If the selected entrant fails to correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question, fails to execute and return the Release Form within the required time period of two (2) business days, is otherwise not in compliance with the Official Rules, or is unable or unwilling to comply with these Official Rules, the selected entrant will be deemed ineligible and will forfeit his/her Prize. A new potential winner will then be selected from all remaining eligible Entries in accordance with these Official Rules.
All decisions of the NBA Entities with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation, the eligibility of Entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest.

Released Parties are not responsible for lost, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled, late, delayed, undelivered or misdirected entries, registrations, predictions or submissions; theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, registrations, predictions or submissions; failures or malfunctions of phones, phonelines or telephone systems; interrupted or unavailable network, server, cable, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP), or other connections; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in any transmission or communication; traffic congestion on the Internet or for any technical problem, including but not limited to any injury or damage to any entrant’s (“Entrant’s”) or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in this Game; errors in these Official Rules, in any Game-related advertisements or other materials; the administration of the Game or selection or announcement of winners or the distribution of prizes; the tabulating of points, the cancellation, suspension or preemption of any playoff games, injuries or other unavailability of players, scoring tabulations or timing errors or other problems or errors of any kind whether mechanical, human, electronic, typographical, printing or otherwise. NBA Entities reserve the right to withdraw, amend or suspend this Contest or to amend these Official Rules, in any way, in the event of an error, technical problem, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the NBA Entities that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Official Rules. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, NBA Entities reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
